Complete frustration

I am losing my mind.

Our company is managed in a novel (read: silly) way. Sales are done and orders are taken here in our Atlanta office. When an order is in hand, it goes to an office in a home in California. That woman then orders the materials from Germany, and sends the order on to an office in Florida for billing. Generally when there’s any sort of problem, that guy in Florida (who is one of my many bosses) comes looking for me.

There’s a hitch in the works. The woman in California doesn’t seem to like me very much. She doesn’t answer phone calls, doesn’t acknowledge faxes, doesn’t answer e-mails, and won’t return voicemails. Apparently this applies only to me. Everyone else gets through on the first try.

I have no idea why this is so, but it’s beginning to affect things rather badly. I processed some parts and upgrades orders for two of my projects two or three weeks ago. The orders were dutifully faxed to California. I guess this woman has decided to extend her cold shoulder to orders as well, because now there is no record of those orders at all. They were never entered, materials were never ordered, they just went away.

Add to this all the other dysfunctions in this company right now, and you can see why I am tearing what’s left of my hair out on a daily basis.

One day ’til the Merman Cometh.

Cheers.
